La petite allumette
C'était une petite allumette,
bien sage, bien droite dans sa robe rouge.
Et voilà qu'un jour, par hasard, le long
d'une paroi,
elle s'est enflammée pour le premier venu,
la sage petite allumette, intacte,
bien droite dans sa robe rouge,
(maintenant toute noire).
Elle gît au milieu d'un tas de cendres
avec d'autres malheureuses comme elle
abandonnées, inutiles, éteintes.
Ah!Si seulement le prince l'avait remarquée!
mais voilà! Il avait un briquet.
